Library

Library membership is available to all students who attend Ayr College. Books are issued on production of a student card which is made available to all students when they commence their course of study. All student cards are valid only for the current academic year.

The library has an extensive and up-to-date collection of books and DVD’s which cover all aspects of the college curriculum. Students also have access to the Reference section, where a number of core texts are available for use only within the Library.

Students can borrow up to 4 books at any one time for a period of 4 weeks. After this period books can be renewed either in person or by telephone. However, you will not be able to renew your items if they are overdue, or if someone else has reserved them.

Non return of library books beyond the normal borrowing period disadvantages other students and may result in borrowing facilities being suspended.

The library operates a fully computerised issue system. Library staff will be pleased to assist you in the use of the catalogue. The catalogue allows you to search for books and reserve those out on loan to other students.
