Students will need to have successfully passed the HNC Visual Communication course to be considered for this course.
Who is this course for?
This course builds upon the skills acquired in the HNC Visual Communication course and takes them to a higher level.
What subjects will I be studying?
As the course progresses you will study the following subjects:
Design Production
Digital Imaging Project
Graphic Design Project
New Media Project
Printmaking
Working in the Creative Industries
Creative Project for Artists and Designers
Illustration Project
Typography Project
Graded Unit 2
How many days will I be in college?
Normally 3/4 days, however you will be given your timetable when you attend your Induction Day.
How will I be assessed?
You will undertake continuous assessments throughout the course.
Moving On
Successful completion of the HND Visual Communication course offers excellent articulation routes to degree programmes in Graphics, with good links for entry into 3rd year at the University of the West of Scotland.
Students may also decide to look for employment as a Graphic Designer / Illustrator / Web Designer / Photographer / Animator.
