You will need three relevant Standard Grades at General Level or a pass in a relevant NC course at SCQF Level 4 or equivalent.
A place on this course is subject to an interview process.
All applicants will be interviewed and are required to submit a portfolio of art and design work.

This course is perfect if you want to create a portfolio to support an application to Art School.

Experimental Printmaking

Preparing a portfolio of art and design
Communication 4 & Literature 1 (students without Higher English)
Students may have the opportunity for work placements and exhibitions.
How many days will I be in college?
Normally 3/4 days, however you will be given your timetable when you attend your Induction Day.
How will I be assessed?
You will undertake continuous assessments throughout the course.
Moving On
Students who successfully complete the course may be considered for the HNC Art and Design course.
This will depend on your results and positive feedback from your lecturers throughout the course.
Students may also decide to look for employment in the creative industries.
How do I fund my course?
You should apply for a Bursary. You can get a Bursary/EMA Application Pack from the Student Finance Office located in the Student Information Centre at Ayr Campus once you have been offered a place on the course.
