You will need a minimum of one relevant Higher at Grade C or above, or a pass in a relevant NC course at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent. Applicants with appropriate experience or other training may be accepted without formal qualifications.
A place on this course is subject to an interview process.
You will be required to audition as we need to assess your suitability for the course. For the audition you should prepare a whole piece to perform on at least one instrument to a minimum ABRSM Grade 5 level or equivalent.
We encourage mature students who do not have the educational qualifications to support their application to apply if they have appropriate performance experience.

You will undertake ongoing class based assessments throughout the course.
If you are successful in passing the HNC you could go on to do HND Music, Year 2 at other colleges. Previous students have entered 2nd Year of degree programmes at the University of West of Scotland, Napier University, Edinburgh University and Perth College (UHI).
