Anyone who has already completed the HNC and wishes to take their qualifications and experience a step further so that their future career prospects are enhanced.
What subjects will I be studying?
The HND is mainly theoretical and your studies will include the following subjects:
Management of Food and Beverage Operations
Managing Hospitality Operations
Hospitality Operations
Financial Management and Control
Front Office Procedures
Systems of Food Production and Service
Customer Care
Information Technology including Internet, Spreadsheets and Computerised Accounting
Graded Unit 2
How will I be assessed?
A variety of assessment methods are used throughout the year.
You will undertake practical assessments and work on class tests, projects and reports.
How many days will I be in college?
Normally 3/4 days, however you will be given your timetable when you attend your Induction Day.
What can I do next?
Progression to employment or university, which may include articulation arrangements with a variety of degree courses.
Alternatively you may decide to look for a job in the hospitality sector.
