Entry Requirements are one Higher Grade pass, SVQ or National
Certificate qualification.
Candidates with appropriate core skills and/or work experience. A previous accounting qualification is not essential.
This course is offered Day Release or evening over 1 year.
This is course is aimed at the young trainee currently working or hoping to gain employment in an accounting function within an industrial or commercial organisation. It is a qualification in it’s own right, but it is also a preliminary qualification for HNC Accounting.
The full HNC qualification includes three Professional Development Awards which may be studied independently or as part of the HNC programme.
PDA Financial Accounting subject areas covered include
Preparing Final Accounts (2 unit credits)
Recording Financial Information (1 unit credit)
Accounting Software (1 unit credit)
Successful completion of the PDA may allow candidates to progress to either HNC or to the industry professional examinations.
