You should have a minimum of 2 Higher grade passes in appropriate areas , NC in Electrical / Engineering pass all units or an SVQ Level 3 in relevant areas.
All candidates would also need to complete a successful interview before being offered a place on the course.
Consideration may be given to those with other entry qualifications who demonstrate a realistic chance of success.

Those who wish to become electrical engineers or those currently within the trade and wishing to up skill.

Inspection and Testing of Low Voltage Electrical Installations

How many days will I be in college?
Normally 1 day, however you will be given your timetable when you attend your Induction Day.
How will I be assessed?
Assessments will be ongoing throughout the year and to successfully complete the HNC an Engineering Practice Graded Unit which brings together all the elements of the HNC must be completed.
What can I do next?
HND in Electrical /Electronic Engineering or move into higher education.
