You should have either an Advanced Craft Award or be an experienced Site Manager.
Who is this course for?
The course may also be suitable for those seeking a career change or who have experience in the construction industry but no formal qualifications.
The HNC Construction Management is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to allow you to gain employment in the Built Environment sector or to progress to a higher education.
What subjects will I be studying?
The HNC Construction Management focuses on the key knowledge and skills required by a technician employed in a construction management role.
You will develop study, research, analysis, planning and organisational skills. Working towards the HNC will also give you responsibility for your own learning and the ability to be flexible and work co-operatively with others.

• Practical Surveying and Levelling

How many days will I be in college?
Monday evenings between 6pm and 9pm with an additional minimum 2.5 hours of study through the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).
How will I be assessed?
Assessments will be ongoing throughout the year and you will complete a project which brings together all the elements of the course.
What can I do next?
A Construction Degree Programme in eg BSc Construction Management / Quantity Surveying / Building Surveying.
The HNC will also enable you to achieve commence achieving appropriate professional body recognition, in particular, from the Chartered Institute of Building.
