Successful completeion of HNC Administration & Information Technology. A place on the course is subject to interview.
Who is this course for?
For those who would like the more challenging role of management, but who recognise the importance of administration in any organisation and would like to retain their administrative skills.
If you decide to take the management role even further, you have the option with this qualification of going to university to take a Degree course.
What subjects will I be studying?
You will develop and expand the skills you learned on the HNC Admin & IT course. The Core Units on this course are:
IT Databases (Advanced)
IT Spreadsheets (Advanced)
IT Word Processing (Advanced)
Office Management
Business Information Management
Project Management
Presentation Skills
Graded Units (2 & 3)
There are additional units which need to be completed to obtain the HND which will be dependent upon the number of students enrolled for the course.
How will I be assessed?
You will experience a wide variety of assessment methods throughout the year. Some will be project based, writing reports, delivering presentations or practical activities.
There will be two exams (Graded Units) at the end of the year.
How many days will I be in college?
Normally 3/4 days, however you will be given your timetable when you attend your Induction Day.
What can I do next?
Progression to employment or university, which may include articulation arrangements with a variety of degree courses.
