You must be employed or on a training scheme and working within a business and administration environment at a junior level.
Who is this course for?
SVQs are designed to be delivered in the workplace and are based on national standards developed by industry for industry.
This ensures they are relevant for employers and valuable to individuals. The course offers people, already in the workplace, an opportunity to use their knowledge, understanding and skills of their job to achieve a recognised workplace qualification.
What subjects will I be studying?
There are 3 Mandatory Units that must be completed by all candidates:
Agree How to Manage and Improve Own Performance in a Business Environment
Undertake Work in a Business Environment
Prepare to Communicate in a Business Environment
A further 5 Units must be completed from the optional list, below are some examples:
Plan How to Solve Business Problems
Work with Other People in a Business Environment
Produce Documents in a Business Environment
Support the Organisation of Business Travel or Accommodation
Take Minutes
Handle Mail
Provide Reception Services
Support the Management and Development of an Information System
Make and Receive Telephone Calls
Deliver, Monitor and Evaluate Customer Service to Internal Customers
How will I be assessed?
You will undertake on-going assessments in building your portfolio.
How many days will I be in college?
You will be expected to be in college approximately one day per month.
What can I do next?
Once successfully completing the SVQ Level 2 Business and Administration you could continue onto the SVQ Level 3 Business and Administration.
How do I fund my course?
