Entry Requirement for this course is an HNC Sound Production.
Applicants are also expected to have practical music experience (i.e. play an instrument OR have knowledge of a music software package).
Formal educational qualifications may be waived for mature applicants.
You are expected to participate in placements in a variety of creative industries and have the suitable drive and ambition to succeed in the Audio Industry.
Who is this course for?
This course offers students a unique experience in a professional recording environment where students use the equipment instead of watching others do so.
This course is designed to provide the knowledge and practical skills appropriate to employment in the music technology industry, or to allow progression to a related degree in Sound Production.

How will I be assessed?
Student achievement will be measured both by formal examinations and continuous assessment throughout the course.
Moving On
Successful completion of HND may allow progression to the BSc (Hons) Audio Technology with Multimedia at Glasgow Caledonian University, BA (Hons) Commercial Music and BSc (Hons) Music Technology at the University of West of Scotland. Students can also choose to progress to final degree year programmes at Abertay University.
